Planning board Meeting Minutes-April 5,2006

 

The meeting was called to order at 6:01 p.m. with Bill Whitman, chairman, Peter O'Leary, Barbara Meliski and Ann Gaskey present. Steve Duncan, financial officer was also in attendance. Peter made a motion and Ann seconded for approval of the minutes of November 15, 2005. Peter made a motion and Ann seconded to approve the agenda. No public comments or suggestions on agenda topics.

 

There was no old business.

 

New business- Bill Breen is asking approval of a minor subdivision located on Sweetner Way and US 64174A-tax map 522, Block 1, Parcel 31. The original plat on lot 1 was never approved by Chimney Rock Village.-see attached.

 

Bill is requesting the required letter of understanding that the land cannot be further sub­divided and we need the verbiage on Sweetner Way. Bill stated that lot #1 is an illegal subdivision. Mr. Breen disagreed. Steve Duncan suggested that Mr. Breen fix this "mistake" by submitting a corrected plat. There was much discussion on this subject. Public comments: Robbie Permenter, who lives on Sweetner Way, spoke about the right away. She stated that her house was built in 1945 and that Sweetner Way has always been the right away to her property and she wants it to remain so.

 

Peter made a motion and Ann seconded that we continue this subject at the next planning board meeting on April 18, 2006 at 6:00. All agreed. This meeting was adjourned at 6:33 p.m.
