This meeting was called to order at 6:04 p.rn. With all members present. The agenda and minutes were approved.
There were no public comments.
Old business: none.
Review Coffee Crumbs sign-Bill was called on Sunday afternoon to review this sign. Mr. Knight was told he needed board approval. Coffee Crumb sign issue was on the agenda, but no one attended to speak on this issue. This was tabled until the August Planning Board Meeting.
Final Platt of Falls at Chimney Rock-Section 2 This item was not acted on because all the required material was not available. This item will be re-scheduled.
Minor Sub-Division- Tom Hebb's minor plat was approved-everything was in order. New business-Consideration of changes to Article 7 and 9-the zoning administrator made verbal suggestions and the board asked for these suggested changes for next meeting. Short term rentals-Bill did a study of Southside-see attached
Bill read Carlson letter-see attached.
Bill feels that we cannot stop rentals already in progress.
We tabled this to next meeting so that enforcement can be checked.
Public comment-Pete Carr says that short term rental property is commercial. Much discussion followed. David Caulder said that most people come here to buy a second home and ask if they can rent them. The board agreed to table this until August meeting. This meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
